Whilst most businesses have been reporting crippling trading conditions one sector of the economy seems to be bucking the trend: dating agencies have seen their trade rocket since the recession started to bite as cash strapped and over stressed Brits seek a bit of fun to take their mind off the misery.
Anecdotal evidence suggests that many people were joining the larger mainstream sites in the hope of having a quick fling and finding disappointment when dates wanted to have dinner and talk about their career plans, ex partners and lack of self confidence around the opposite sex.
