Our new social groups will get a professional Londoner a date before Tinder

Suggesting our new social groups are a better way of meeting people in London than the best social apps is a pretty bold claim, however there is nothing more random and less romantic than swiping left or right based on a flawed impression garnered from a photograph in a few seconds.

If you are a professional interested in meeting a nice person to go on a date with; hang out; do whatever you enjoy with; then statistics say you are better off meeting someone offline than online. The question remains though how to merge those two worlds in a cool way.

Thankfully our new social groups, designed to create more social interaction between Londoner's and help them meet new people based on their interests and where there are good local places near them, means that it is more than acceptable to face the real world of dating and forget those apps.

We love online dating apps. But let's be honest the dating apps in London are rubbish and you are much better off meeting someone at a top London club, hotel bar, or on a shopping trip. The chances of that happening can be low but if it it a pre-arranged event then the odds are more in your favour.

If you are interested in meeting someone you should take a look at our London blog in addition to joining one of our social groups because you are literally doubling your chances of success. That isn't a scientific fact. Just a hunch.

Mr Hudson Not Dating Rihanna

Pop star Mr Hudson says he is not dating US singer Rihanna.

The pair were first linked after arriving at the premiere of Quentin Tarantino's new film together in London, in July.

But the British musician - real name Ben Hudson - says they are not seeing each other: "I'll be honest with you, I'm kind of shy around her."

They met through mutual friend, hip hop superstar Kanye West and were both recently photographed at a wedding in Venice.

But Mr Hudson says speculation they are getting married is just silly.

Winehouses Ex Blake Finds New Girlfriend

Amy Winehouse’s former husband Blake Fielder-Civil has reportedly been on a string of secret dates with a nightclub stripper.

The 27-year-old former jailbird was said to be smitten with 21-year-old Lauren McDermott in Sheffield.

Newspaper rumours have abounded that Blake went to the club with a few friends and was immediately drawn to Lauren. At the end of the night he gave her his number. He has mentioned that he is trying to "keep out of trouble" and still goes goes for treatment at the clinic where he talks through his problems and tries to adapt to his new drug-free life.

Amy Winehouse Now Dating Monk

Amy Winehouse is moving on from her failed marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil - she's reportedly found love with the son of George Foreman, according to new reports.

The Rehab singer is said to be dating the former boxing champ's son George III, known as Monk, and was overheard gushing about her new romance while visiting The London Clinic following her recent rumoured boob job.

And the 26 year old, who is also a boxer, is even encouraging the troubled star to get into shape, according to The Sun newspaper. A source told the paper: "His name is George Foreman and he boxes, just like his dad. Amy loves that he's toned and very fit."

Kylie Romance Gets Serious

It looks like Kylie Minogue's romance with her Spanish beau Andreas Segura is about to get serious!

The pair — who have been dating several months — are apparently set to live together after Kylie asked him to move into her $6m mansion in London’s Chelsea.

Kylie has always been adamant that she wants children, and it appears that Andres Segura does too. Watch this space!

Guy Admits He Still Loves Madonna

Despite being seen out in London town with a new lady on his arm each week, Film Director Guy Ritchie admits he still loves his ex wife, Madonna.

He also obviously knows how to make a girl feel special, adding that his ex was "retarded" moments afterwards in the interview with Esquire magazine.

In an interview with Esquire magazine, Ritchie said: "And, of course, here you go: I still love her... But she's retarded, too."

This sounds like Guy getting even after Madonna told the audience at an October 2008 concert, days after their divorce was announced: "This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall in that category. I know I do."

Madonna Loves The Single Life

Pop star Madonna looks like she is enjoying the single life while dating toyboy Jesus Luz.

But she has said she would rather be hit by a train than remarry.

The singer opened up during a candid interview with chat show king David Letterman, conducted over pizza.

When asked if she would tie the knot for the third time, she said: "Remarry? I think I'd rather get run over by a train."

Paris Hilton is reportedly dating Little Britain star David Walliams, who have been spotted together rather a lot at London Fashion Week.

Apparently the heiress has been on a few dates with Walliams and has even invited him to her summer party in LA. Said to have been friends for a while, they met up secretly when Paris was filming her TV show in London.
